The new DVEX family of DVI Extenders represents leading edge Video plus USB 2.0 Extension connectivity solutions over a single Cat 5 cable that deliver a remote desktop throughout the office, factory floor, hospital or retail/commercial environment.

The DVEX product family incorporates patented ExtremeUSB® technology which supports the billions of USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices in the market, as well as integrating stereo audio support. All systems are housed in durable metal enclosures and meet emissions and ESD testing standards for use in a wide variety of demanding end applications.

This product family supports HD video resolutions at long distances without performance degradation with maximum ease of integration. Like all IHSE Extenders, DVEX products are true plug and play systems, requiring no additional software drivers, and compatible with all major operating systems, Windows, MAC and Linux. Ideal for a wide variety of applications where the computer must be accessible in a remote location typically found in commercial, medical, security, digital signage, and industrial environments.

The DVEX Extenders lets you place a computer up to 1640ft (500m) away from the workstation area, connected with a single inexpensive Cat 5 (or better) cable. The system supports full remote HD video and USB, including control of the keyboard, mouse, webcam, flash drive, speakers, microphone and other USB devices, and features three USB ports on the remote extender.

The DVEX Extenders support applications where the computer needs to be located remotely from the user. Applications include security, medical, digital signage and industrial environments where the computer can be located remotely to avoid harsh environments and to prevent unauthorized access. This solution improves data security along with increased work space by separating users from their PCs.
Features:

* Long Distance: Supports distances up to 1640ft (500m) using a single Cat 5 (or better) cable. These long distances have only been achievable in the past via very expensive Fiber Optic cabling.
* HD Resolution at Distance: Up to 1920x1200 resolution, 24-bit color depth supported at 1640ft (500m). Resolution does not degrade with distance.
* Full USB 2.0 Support: Supports all USB 2.0 device types. Extends keyboard, mouse, web camera, flash drive, speakers, microphone, and other USB devices.
* Audio: Integrated two channel audio with microphone and headphone I/O.
* Rack Mountable: Allows for up to 3 units to be mounted in a 19”/1U rack mount kit.
* Installation Ease: Utilizes a single Cat 5 (or better) cable for desktop extension simplifying installation and reducing cost versus dual Cat 5 cable systems.
* Space Saving: The computer can be located remotely from the desktop area, freeing up valuable space.
